UNCDF CLEAN COOKING SYMPOSIUM

The UNCDF Clean Cooking Symposium, held over three enlightening days in June 2024, was a beacon of innovation and collaboration in the quest for sustainable energy solutions.

This transformative event brought together thought development partners, gender focused groups and innovators to address the critical impacts of traditional cooking methods on health, the environment, and economic development. Featuring dynamic panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and cutting-edge showcases, the symposium highlighted the myriad benefits of clean cooking.

Services Executed:

We provided comprehensive event management services for the event, which included branding and setup of the main venue and breakout session rooms, branding and setup of the exhibition booths, guest registration, and hosting of the event.

Solution:

Fern Marketing meticulously planned and executed the Clean Cooking Symposium, transforming the Serena Hotel Marquee into a vibrant hub for promoting clean cooking solutions. Inside the venue, we organized various panel discussions, and outside, we set up eight booths. Seven booths showcased different clean cooking technologies and solutions, while one booth was dedicated to the smooth registration of symposium attendees. Additionally, on the first and second days, we branded and set up two venues for breakout sessions, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience throughout the event.

Objectives of the Symposium:

  • Inspire widespread adoption of clean cooking solutions to implement the National Clean Cooking Strategy.
  • Showcase and award innovative clean cooking technologies and practices.
  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders to achieve 80% clean cooking in Tanzania by 2034.
  • Discuss and share strategies for effective engagement of value chain actors as part of the government of Tanzania’s goal to transition to 80% clean cooking by 2034.

What Was Achieved:

  • Engagement and Awareness: The event saw a great turnout for all three days, with active participation from attendees. Panel discussions and breakout sessions were highly engaging, with valuable insights shared by experts.
  • Innovative Showcases: The strategically arranged booths effectively showcased various clean cooking solutions, attracting significant interest and interaction from attendees.
  • Guest of Honor’s Impact: The presence and speech of the Deputy Minister of Energy, Judith Kapinga, added significant value, underscoring the importance of the initiative.
  • Smooth Execution: The event was executed smoothly, with well-organized sessions and efficient management of logistics.
